The report provides an overview of gender disparities in STEM-related TVET for ten countries based on available data and information.

 

Philanthropy and education: Education giving in the midst of Covid-19

The report provides initial findings from consultations with 30 foundations working in developing countries, bilateral and multilateral donors, and education funds, complemented by in-depth interviews and other resources on philanthropy in education during the pandemic.

The summary examines structured VET programs that include students working in an appropriate organisation or business as part of their learning.

 

Closing the achievement gap in the connected classroom: How the UK’s educators are using technology to bridge the digital learning divide

The report provides findings of a survey of 5,000 teachers, including more than 1,200 senior leaders, across England, about their thoughts, needs, and desires concerning the future of education and technology, with a particular focus on one-to-one devices and their role in tomorrow’s classrooms.

Evaluation of the Edge Hotel School

The central focus of this evaluation has been to explore how the Edge Hotel School (EHS) model combines the development of theoretical and practical knowledge and skills through an action-based learning approach and to identify wider implications and lessons to be learnt for industry-engaged education.

 

Drivers of early career success for UK undergraduates: An analysis of graduate destinations surveys

This research looks at drivers of graduates’ career success, which can be linked to students’ university experience. It draws on graduate destination surveys commissioned by the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA), comparing graduates’ answers at approximately six months after graduation with their answers at 3.5 years after graduation for those leaving university in 2012/13.

 

Vocational training for rural populations: A demand-driven approach and its Implications in India

The study combined face to face interviews, group interviews and qualitative exploratory research methods to investigate practical problems that arise in real-life contexts when attempts are made to prioritise vocational training demands in line with the needs of all the stakeholders.
