Click here Iyuno's 5-Step Action PlanStep 3Iyuno stands in solidarity with the Black community—especially our employees, but also our partners, vendors, customers, and voice talents that have suffered from systemic racism and judicial injustice. Iyuno Respects People. This is our core value. It is core because it is an essential part of our culture in building a global business. We can’t work across over 30 countries as ONE Team without overtly and consistently displaying the utmost respect for others, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation or creed. A 5-Step Action Plan has been created and initiated by HR and Internal Communication so that we can all participate in this critically historic and massive movement to help end injustice, racism and oppression towards minorities and our black communities. We have also updated our "Social Impact" page on our website, which features each step in our 5-Step Action Plan and what Iyuno will be doing to do our part. We will be updating every step on our social impact page on a weekly basis following each "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter. With that said, this week we are sending out the third "Iyuno's Black Lives Matter Campaign" newsletter emphasising Step 3 - Participate At Iyuno, we fully support any participation in this BLM movement, from peaceful protesting to sharing on social media to attending BLM events. Step 3 - ParticipateThis step is all about participation and putting what you have gained from step 1 and 2 into practice. After researching and investigating ways you can support the Black Lives Matter movement and our black communities in general, its important to put them into action! Participate in the activities, meetings, protests, petitions etc that you have discovered and share the knowledge you have learned or re-learned about black history, the civil rights movements and why we are where we are today. We have listed ways you can participate to support the Black Lives Matter movement and help shed light on why black communities need the support of allies, white allies, POC, protesters...everyone. Use these examples we have shared below to inspire you to join and participate or even start something yourself if you don't see it in your local community. Because as we all know...action speaks louder than words! Participate in protests If there are peaceful protests happening in your local community, we encourage you to get out there and participate in them. But we urge that you stay safe and if violence breaks out, ensure that you try to leave the area to avoid getting hurt. If there aren't any peaceful protests happening in your area, you can make a sign yourself and stand somewhere public while holding it up, either by yourself or with a small group of friends and peers. Share on social media If you have attended peaceful protests or read/watched something educational and helpful, we encourage you to share that. Whether it's a picture, a link or a video, sharing is part of participating because you are helping spread the word and are becoming part of the noise. Participate in BLM events Outside of protests there are always events held by organisations or individuals aimed at participating in discussions, learning, sharing ideas for more action, and coming together to build a stronger community to drive change and reform. There are even by city council meetings in held in local cities to discuss matters related to the BLM movement open for participation by the public. So if you do not feel safe participating in protests, try joining an event like that. You can find them via google and local social media pages. Sign weekly petitions Signing the petitions that you researched and found is also considered participation. So list out the petitions you found when doing Step 2 last week and begin creating a routine where you sign one every week or everyday. There are plenty of petitions that need signatures and one signature can make the difference. IYUNO MEDIA GROUP | HR |
