From the College Nurse

Are you a new student wondering if your GP registration at Newnham Walk surgery is complete?

Do not wait for an email from Newnham Walk surgery. Instead, if you have yet to do so, send the documents below to nwsregistrations@nhs.net This will allow them to complete your registration.

If you have yet to do so, please send them a:

  • copy of photo ID, e.g. passport or driving licence
  • copy of proof of address, e.g. proof of College residency or utility bill or bank statement

Proof of College residency can simply be a copy of the email sent from Jo Fisher, Wolfson Accommodation Manager, on receipt of your signed licence agreement. This has been clarified with both the Wolfson Accommodation Manager and the Newnham Walk surgery Office Manager.

Alternatively, you can request a letter from the Wolfson Tutorial Office

Apply to be a Wolfson Ambassador Volunteer

Outreach and Student Recruitment Officer, Hannah Elkington, is starting a new volunteer team of Wolfson Ambassadors

Can you be the friendly face of the College at events such as Open Days and Offer Holders days?

Take part in a Q&A panel or give a presentation about your experiences

This is a flexible, low time commitment, volunteer opportunity that fits around your schedule, is good fun, useful for your CV and rewarded with free food (and a warm feeling inside). We need to represent a wide cross section of the Wolfson community – Undergraduate, Postgraduate, international, home student and different subject areas.

The next opportunities are to help with the Virtual Postgraduate Open Days on 05 Nov, and we are also looking for Undergraduates to be mentors in the SU Shadowing scheme.

Apply now or email Hannah if you want more details.
