RESEARCH UPDATE: PBCC Grant Winner Dr. Craig Meyers Moves Forward with Discovery that Kills Cancer Cells
Your donations at work...
The PA Breast Cancer Coalition has awarded more than $3.2 million in research grants to scientists right here in Pennsylvania working to find a cure for breast cancer. One of our grant winners, Dr. Craig Meyers of Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, continues to make incredible strides in his quest to find a cure for cancer. Meyers' team has found a special virus (called adeno-associated virus type 2 [AAV2]) that kills cancer cells in laboratory tests. The next step is taking his studies to human clinical trials.
Dr. Meyers' alma mater, Brigham Young University, recently published an update on his research. Click on the link below to read more.
