In 1992, the Maras (then Mancorp) and Liberman Groups saw an opportunity to revitalise what once was a market precinct with residential apartments and an eclectic mix of commercial, retail and hospitality-based tenancies. Fast forward 30 years, and the precinct has never been “more exciting”, with 15 new businesses coming into the strip over the past six months. CBD and North Adelaide Retail Spend at Pre-Pandemic LevelsTotal visitor spend across the city was at a four-year high in April, data analysed by AEDA shows. April visitor spend statistics showed that total spend in the city was $326.5 million, up from $227.8 million in 2019, the best April result since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. North Adelaide Landmark 'The Store' to Re-open this MonthIconic Melbourne Street venue The Store will get a new lease on life as popular North Adelaide florist Sally Wotton prepares to take over the long-vacant site. Floristry by Sally will move into the site on 17 June, which will also be home to Loxley Coffee and Lesser Store. Ms Wotton looks forward to bringing a fresh look to the Melbourne and Jerningham Street corner site, which will be rebranded The Store by Sally.
