Update for Residents

29th June to 12th July 

Power cut - Wednesday 27th June

On Wednesday 27th June an incident occurred that caused a power cut for a number of residents near our development at Buckler's Park. The exact cause is currently under investigation by our safety team and the contractors involved.   

We would like to sincerely apologise to residents for any inconvenience the power cut may have caused them.

We would also like to reassure residents that Legal & General Homes and our contractors take incidents such as this very seriously and a full investigation will be completed.

Nine Mile Ride / Old Wokingham Road Roundabout

The streetlights have now been installed and we are awaiting final power connections in mid July. Once power is on to the new street lighting, the old columns will be removed, the tarmac will be reinstated to the paths in late July.

Cycleway - Old Wokingham Road to Crowthorne Roundabout

The final surfacing to the roundabout is now complete. The new street lighting has been installed and we await confirmation of a date for the final power connection.

We anticipate that the cycleway will be completed in early August. The first section of cycleway will be surfaced w/c 4th July up to Brookers Row.

The Brookers Row junction with Old Wokingham Road will be resurfaced on the 6th July. This junction will be closed for the day.

Development Access C - north of Hatch Ride

Final surfacing is scheduled for the 23rd & 24th July. Traffic lights will be required for the two days for the safety of our team.

Toucan Crossing - Access B - Hatch Ride

The toucan crossing is now complete. The local authority have asked for some changes to the footpaths around the crossing which are underway and we expect the crossing to be handed to the local authority the 1st week of July. The local authority will then arrange for the crossing to be switched on.

Housebuilding Phase 1 

We now have over 105 homes under construction with 19 properties at roof stage or beyond. We are looking forward to welcoming the first new families to Buckler's Park in the summer.

On site infrastructure

The site infrastructure remains on target to be completed in August. The on site spine road is now in use by the site traffic.

The realignment of the access to Crowthorne House will be completed in early August and residents will notice the new access to Buckler's Park from Nine Mile Ride progressing in coming weeks.

SANG

The SANG is approaching the first milestone in its completion and final inspection of the first phase will begin in June with the local authority.

Buckler's Park Summer Celebration and Show Home Launch

Legal & General Homes is pleased to announce the official opening of our show homes at Buckler’s Park.

To celebrate, we’re inviting the local community down on Saturday 14th July 2018. Giving visitors the chance to see inside our new homes for the first time and get a feel for what it would be like to live at Buckler's Park. What’s more, a range of activities and stalls from the local area will be there on the day to showcase the very best of the Berkshire life.

Safety & Security

Our site is patrolled by security including support from a canine team. We would however like to take this opportunity to remind residents that whilst all reasonable precautions are taken, building sites can seem exciting to children but they can be dangerous places

As ever, we would, therefore, ask parents to ensure their children are made aware of the dangers and are instructed not to enter site at any time, unless doing so under the full supervision of our site staff and wearing full personal protection equipment.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank residents for their patience and understanding with us whilst we complete the highways works. Our team have been working hard to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum at all times.
