Stewardship:
Faithfulness in All Things
"Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Heb. 10:23. One of the foundations of faithfulness is hope. To paraphrase Paul, "As long as hope exists, faithfulness in all things has meaning." To our eternal joy, our hope is bound up not in our faithfulness, but in God's faithfulness! God’' unchanging, undiminished-by-the-years faithfulness to us is our hope and the reason for our own "Faithfulness in All Things."
E. G. White commented about promises in MS 23, 1899, "Promises are estimated by the truth of
the one who makes them. Many men make promises only to break them, to mock the heart that trusted in them. Those who lean upon such men lean upon broken reeds. But God is behind the promises He makes. He is ever mindful of His covenant, and His truth endureth to all generations.”
God calls us to a life of Faithfulness in All Things; to be an imitator of Him. His steadfastness is our example and our hope. “Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yours fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Cor. 15:58. Let us read His Word, act upon the ideals in those Words, and make those faith-filled actions a testimony that we believe in His Faithfulness in All
Things.
