Message from Our President...

Silver King Campus Renewal Offical Launched

Selkirk College officially broke ground on its $18.9 million Silver King Campus renewal project that will help transform the learning environment at the Nelson campus. Students and staff were joined by industry partners and members of the community for the ceremony held on October 25. The project includes the repurposing of three existing trades buildings, the construction of a student commons building. Read the story and see more pictures...

Getting protein into your diet isn’t always easy for those struggling to make ends meet. A recent event hosted at Selkirk College offered up a meal for area families in banquet style as an initiative aiming to ensure poverty doesn’t reach the plate. Not only did students get experience practicing their new skills, they learned the value of giving to community. Learn more...


Building a Rural Economy through Partnership

Since Selkirk College alumni began transitioning into the regional workforce in the late-1960s, individuals educated close to home have helped build and grow the economy of the region. As the college celebrates its first 50 years and looks towards the next half-century, an exploration of the relationship post-secondary has with local business and industry tells a story of success.
