Welcome Heather Vogt!
The Board for Lutheran Education Australia welcomed Heather Vogt in May 2021.
BLEA general synod report available
The GCB unanimously agreed to hold the 20th regular Convention of General Synod in two parts. An online meeting will occur on October 1 and 2 2021, which will then be adjourned until the meeting resumes in-person in 2022.
Focus areas for next year
LEA and NLT teams have looked at the strategic direction and agreed focus areas for 2022. Details about how to get involved in these projects will be provided in due course.
A vision for learners and learning
Welcome Dr Mary Scott to the expert reference group. Expressions of interest to join the group are welcome.
LEArning circles for LTJ articles
All schools and early childhood centres were sent copies of The Lutheran Theological Journal (LTJ) supplement. If you would like to engage in discussion about these papers in an online forum we have scheduled a series of one hour LEArning circles with the authors.
Domestic and Family Violence taskforce
As part of service to the wider church LEA is represented on the Domestic and Family Violence taskforce. We would now like to know if there is any support that schools might require which they have not been able to access elsewhere.
Congratulations to all our Olympians
The Tokyo 2020 Olympics may have been 5 years in the waiting but when it finally did arrive the Lutheran education community certainly had plenty to celebrate.

ALC Cert III development
ALC have commenced a project to develop a 10741NAT Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology.
ACLE Save The Date
The ACLE Committee is working to secure keynote sessions and electives. The conference will be at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in person and online.
The health and wellbeing of our attendees remains our top priority. We are continuing to actively monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 and are following the advice of the relevant authorities.
