Throughout this intimate four hour program, you will explore how to make the most out of your time in the casting room for both the Australian and US markets. Led by Sydney based Casting Director Cinzia Coassin, you will have the opportunity to recreate the 'self-tape' scenario for both markets. In the process you will take adjustments and direction as you would in each unique environment and discuss the crucial differences between the two and how to best play to your strengths in each (gaining insight to what makes a good self taped audition).

Cinzia will lead you through the rehearsal process for an Australian or US scene before putting it down on tape. She will outline usable, actionable, step-by-step guidelines designed to maximise your impact in the audition scenario. She will give you feedback, direction and adjustments applicable to the Australian market, and share with you the best ways to use your time in the audition room. 

Cinzia will also lead you through techniques, which will enable you to perform at your best in the audition scenario. She will address the essential issues surrounding all aspects of the audition from taking adjustments, to working with the reader, scene analysis for auditions (when the whole script isn't available), self taped auditions and cold reads.  You will have opportunities to work in front of camera as you explore these techniques.

A seasoned Casting Associate and industry professional, Cinzia (who started her Casting career at Faith Martin’s Casting), also thrived at Christine King Casting.  Her most recent projects include:  The Dressmaker; Camp (NBC Network); Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door; and The Code (ABC Network).  She was involved in the Australian search for the hit HBO Series Game of Thrones; Hercules; Fifty Shades of Grey; The Shannara Chronicles; Into the Badlands; Marco Polo; and The BFG.  Other credits include, but are not limited to: The Kings Daughter; Hiding; Kill me Three Times; Spartacus: Blood and Sand; Blood Brothers; Legends of the Seeker; 33 Postcards; Satellite Boy; and The Strip.  Cinzia is currently involved in several projects, slated for 2017.
