Dear SIG members,

Thank you to everyone who was able to join the virtual SIG business meeting the other week. For those of you who were not able to make it the meeting has been posted on our SIG website:

To accurately access the SIG website be sure to read the email sent out by the AASPT regarding their new website and need to reset your password.

Additionally, the presentation by Sue Falsone regarding pain and breathing considerations can be found on the new learning center website:

For those who were unable to attend or those who have yet to sign up; we spoke about our upcoming mentorship program. If you would like to be involved as either a mentor or mentee please follow this link to the form and our vice-chair Pat O'Neil will be in touch with you:

Finally, as mentioned in the meeting here is the link to the video about Mobilize, our new communication platform. I think it is going to be a really great move and we are looking forward to launching it fully next month:

Other highlights of the meeting were:

  • Creation of diversity, equity, and inclusion liaison. Please reach out to Pat O'Neil ( patrick.oneil002@gmail.com) if interested in being involved or wanting to learn more about the program
  • TCC going virtual this year dates TBD. Will try to hold our 3rd all SIG business meeting of the year during this
  • We are co-hosting a webinar with the Sports Performance SIG, Management of In-Season Injuries: Perspectives from the NBA and NFL.  This is taking place on July 16 at 7pm EST. Follow this link to register, it is free and will be a great webinar.

  • We are currently working on putting out educational material in response to some frequent questions that we have gotten from the SIG so stay tuned for that coming out
    • Information will be posted on our social media accounts so be sure you are following us
