New Bylaws & Rules go live in April

A new edition of the  ICA Bylaws & Rules will come into force on 1 April and will apply to all contracts made on or after this date. A number of changes have been introduced, particularly within the arbitration section (indicated by a vertical line on the right-hand side of the document). The English language version is now available for you to view - other languages coming soon.

Turkey gets 'cotton contract' training

With Turkey now one of the major players in importing cotton, we delivered our 'cotton contracting' training there last month. 90 delegates came along to the one day course in Kahramanmaraş, which was sponsored by the local Chamber of Commerce. More training is planned for 2015.

Meet our man in China

Robert Jiang, our China Business Development Officer, will be in Beijing, Henan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shanghai later this month (18-30 March), to meet with local firms and organisations to strengthen links and discuss trade matters. Robert will also be facilitating ICA arbitrator exams (basic and advanced level).

Another firm signed up to safe trading last month and joined the ICA - R J Carter Cotton Consultancy and Arbitration. This takes our total to 592 members - 330 firms, 262 individuals.
