In my last email, I mentioned a webinar with Kristin Bond and Matthew Smith. The one about how to be an email marketer in (what everyone has been affectionately calling) uncertain times. It seemed to resonate, with thousands of folks signing up to attend and even more viewing it after the live webinar.
As a bunch of you on this list would describe yourselves as email marketers (or email marketing-adjacent) I thought I'd email y'all about it directly.
Here you go: free access to the full webinar, including the Q&A session. We had a ton of great questions and attempted to address the most important ones in the accompanying blog post, so be sure to read that, too.
The gang from Really Good Emails (including Matthew Smith from the webinar) put together a really good guide to embracing our humanity as marketers. It includes a bunch of examples from companies handling this crisis well, and is full of recommendations we should all be following, crisis or not.
Keeping with the Really Good Emails theme, my colleague Whitney and I attended their UNSPAM conference in Greenville, SC right before everything started getting locked down. True to form, it was unlike other conferences I've attended and worth writing about. And go next year if you get the chance (assuming the world gets past COVID-19, terrible politicians, and our Animal Crossing addictions).
You know, giving up a dream is just like making one come true. It's easy to sit around talking about, it's harder to go out and do.
Mostly writer, sometimes designer.
