Sunday, December 15, 2013.  Children’s Holiday Party!

What a great season to be a kid!  The Holidays are upon us and you can feel the excitement!  Come join us for an afternoon of fun.
The festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. with crafts organized by Kathy Harris.  We will move effortlessly to the magic show performed by Magic Mike.   Finally, we are confident the Man himself with show up.  Of course, eating will commence after Santa’s visit with a potluck dinner.

Important Part:  We look forward to your coming with your children, grandchildren, visiting children, any children.  We also want Santa to be able to offer your young  guests a gift.  To do that we need you to sign up as soon as you can –either at the club or online at Events.  Also, please remember to note the ages and genders of the little ones.  Elf Kathy will be toiling in the workshop but she wants to get all her toiling done on or before 12/13.  Any sign-ups after that may get lumps of seaweed, dock muscles and mud bits from mean elf Dan… and we don’t want that…

Adults are more than welcome.  Magic Mike is good for all ages and the delight of little kids is contagious.

Please bring a dish to share for the pot-luck afterwards.

Friday, December 20, 2013.  Holiday DID:

An evening of dinner and song highlighted by a performance of the Twelve Days of Christmas.

Adding to the fun will be the Lighted Boat Parade and the announcement of the winners of the on-the-water and dockside Lighted Boat Contest.  Not to be missed.

Tuesday, December 31, 2013:  New Year Eve at Sequoia!

Ring in the New Year with us.  Sign-ups will be up in the Club and on the Events page on Sequoia’s web site.

Kathy Harris has booked a top-notch band and we will celebrate both an East and West coast new year!

Enjoy your Holidays and we will see you at the Club!

Thanks to Shannon Amerman for doing such an excellent job of stepping in for the Zolcks and organizing this cruise-out. You made it all flow so seamlessly and I know that takes effort. Also appreciated the warm, after-dinner gathering on your boat. Nicely done.

I also want to thank Cliff and Anna Kramer for their amazing spread of wonderful food and drinks before the parade. Carole and I are especially grateful to have been able to join them in the parade, along with Past Commodore Joseph Curtis, on their amazingly decorated boat.  It was a very fun experience to see all of the people along the shore and in boats at the docks along the way cheering and flashing pictures as we motored by, with the great Christmas music coming from the nice sound system Cliff had hooked up on their boat.

It was also a joy for me to hear so many Sequoia Yacht Club affiliated boats recognized for their lighted boats, including Steve and Pat Stanley's Ahelani, and the Sea Scouts, Gryphon. And then for the cherry on top of the cake when Cliff and Anna's boat, Boundless, won the grand prize for the entire parade, it was a great night, indeed!

Thanks to all who braved the cold to make this another terrific Sequoia Yacht Club event.
