There's been no 'holiday' for the equestrian world though, with the Victorian Young Rider Dressage Championships, WPNEC Summer Show, Boneo Classic, various squads, training days and a host of other events being held throughout the state. I would like to remind all riders that the new year sees NEW RULES COME INTO PLAY, and that it is your responsibility to ensure you are aware of these changes. THIS MONTH SEES THE APPOINTMENT OF 2 VICTORIANS to the Australian Dressage Judges Committee (ADJC) - Virginia Creed and Jane Ventura. We congratulate them on their achievement. Virginia, along with Fiona Selby, has also been appointed to the Australian Dressage Committee (ADC) following fellow Victorian KERRY MACK'S retirement from her position on the ADC. Kerry has made an enormous contribution to the sport over the past four years. Thank-you Kerry from all involved in Dressage, and congratulations to Virginia and Fiona. THE NATIONAL SHOW HORSE RULES have been rewritten and were brought into effect on January, 1 2017. Mitchell Fox, Chair of Show Horse Victoria, together with Ian Percy, has dedicated an enormous amount of time and effort into drafting these new rules which were ratified by the National body in late 2016. Heart felt thanks to these two dedicated volunteers for bringing about this significant achievement.
