Friday, October 30 at 7pm - Sign Up to Volunteer No images? Click here Halloween at Bay Farm is traditionally one of our most favorite times of the school year! It's festive; the students get to carve pumpkins and dress up in costumes to celebrate! Although we are met with some health restrictions this fall, the MPA is still planning a festive and fun event for our families to enjoy. This year, we are happy to announce that we will be hosting Bay Farm Boo Fest - a drive-through event on campus. Dress in costume, hop in the car, and as you drive-through campus, take in the spooky sights as the campus will be decorated with scenes of how Halloween is celebrated around the globe. At the end of the drive-through, we have a special surprise for the kids. They will be able to get their pictures taken with Mr. Bones and his Puppy dog pal for you to download and keep after the event! How you can get involved: The week of October 26th-30th, we ask families to carve and decorate a pumpkin at home and lend them to the school to line the driveway. If you wish to reclaim your pumpkin after the event, we kindly suggest that you write your name in a sharpie on the bottom of your pumpkin so that it can be returned to you. The pumpkins will be due no later than 3 pm on Friday, October 30th. Drop off will be at the main office. We are looking for volunteers who are willing to create Halloween scenes for our drive-through for our spooktacular drive-through event. Halloween is one of the world's oldest holidays and is still widely celebrated today in many different countries. These scenes we will be creating will suggest the way countries around the world celebrate Halloween. Some other countries that still celebrate include Mexico and other Latin countries, England, Ireland, Portugal, Canada, Greece, Italy, Japan, and so many more. Here are a few links for ideas to help you create a scene in your chosen country.
We invite you to sign up for a time slot, come to campus on Friday, October 30th and set up and decorate your scene for the Boo Fest drive-through event. The country is your choice, and we ask that you please write the country of your choice in the comment section of the sign up so that we do not have any repeat countries. We ask that you please keep it spooky, but not scary. We will have all ages Toddler House-Middle School students attending the event. We also ask that you arrive on time, in your masks, and keep the sign up to one family per scene, so that we make sure we are complying with CDC guidelines and keeping everyone on campus safe. These time slots will be one set up per family to ensure our families' safety and health. We thank you in advance! We are incredibly excited to celebrate and host something for our students and families this fall. These events wouldn't be possible without our MPA volunteers, so we thank you for signing up to make this event a success. We appreciate your time, effort, creativity, and above all, compassion.
We look forward to seeing you on Friday, October 30th! If you are thinking of purchasing your child(s) costume on Amazon, please switch your settings to AmazonSmile and click support Bay Farm Montessori Academy Inc. to support our school! Thank you! Allison Segalini |
