A Springtime of Love PASTOR'S BLOG “If people did not love one another, I really don’t see what use there would be in having any spring”—so opined Victor Hugo. Or as Tiffany Aurora mused:
We are settling into the spring of things.
Two-lipped Tulip kisses & cherry blossom breaths. In matters of the heart, spring is the season of blossoming love, is it not? Why even Solomon himself was carried away with spring’s enchantment:
My beloved spoke and said to me,
“Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, come with me.

Foster Family Gift Basket Project Last Sunday, the Ruth Murdoch Elementary School Cafetorium was a hive of activity as volunteers worked to pack gift baskets for the foster families in Berrien County. Many thanks to those who came out to pack baskets. Many hands made light work, and it went quickly! The baskets, thanks to many generous donors, include a Bible storybook, snack items, outdoor activities, a certificate redeemable for a family membership at Sarett Nature Center, and
information about Pioneer’s Grow Groups and Children and Family Discipleship programs, our Mommy and Me events, and more. We have just one thing left to do: Get the baskets to the families! There are 2 ways you can help us this Sunday, April 18: - Volunteer to deliver baskets (sign up here)
- Volunteer to spend time at Wolf’s Prairie
Park handing out baskets and interacting with any foster families who opt out of delivery to their homes (sign up here)
If you have any questions or would like additional information about this project, please contact us at growgroups@pmchurch.org.
Offering for April 17, 2021 One day Jesus saw a widow bring her offering to the temple. She gave two of the smallest coins in the temple monetary system. Embarrassed that her gift was so small, she waited until she thought no one was watching. Yet, Jesus commended her. “Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all.” Luke 21:3 How can this be? Read More
Family Resilience Conference SPONSORED BY THE FAMILY LIFE COMMITTEE
April 17, 3:00 – 7:00 PM Over the past year, families have been bombarded by all sorts of stressors and challenges, ranging from the minor to the major, mostly thanks to the pandemic. With limited access to face-to-face help and social interaction, some families have been trying to cope with depression, anxiety, grief, abuse, trauma, and the like, often without the assistance, they need. Others have been overworked and overwhelmed. Family relations may have become strained. And we're not out of the woods yet. But there is, thankfully, a glimmer of hope. How will our families fare when this pandemic subsides? You're invited to the "Family Resilience Conference" which will offer presentations on topics related to parenting and family relationships during times of crisis, healthy grieving, the need for nature, and how families can be resilient.
