No images? Click here Congratulations to the Class of 2020Congratulations to our St John Paul II graduates of 2020! Despite the challenges of the year, our JPC Year 12 students finished strongly and we are very proud of their achievements. It was wonderful being able to commend many Year 12s in person, or their support team (our fantastic JPC parents), during the Certificate release and pick up on Wednesday. All 53 of our Year 12 students met BSSS requirements and received their Senior Secondary Certificate. Of these, 91% completed Tertiary packages. Students finally have their ATARs and can reflect on the myriad of university and course options open to them: 13% (6) students received ATARs of 90 or higher; 25% (12) between 80-90; 83% (40) students received ATARs above 60. A number of students completed nationally accredited Vocational Education certificates with students receiving Certificates I and II in Hospitality. Particular congratulations go to our highest ATAR achievers:
On Tuesday, we hosted our winners and their families for the online BSSS Recognition of Excellence Awards:
We presented the following awards at the beautiful Year 12 Graduation and Awards Ceremony last week. Moira Najdecki Award for Academic Excellence (highest raw unit scores):
ADF Long Tan Youth Leadership and Teamwork Award - Wanin Tessema St John Paul II College Perpetual Awards:
The majority of students had certainty for their 2021 pathway through university early offers, but this BSSS certification provides formal feedback recognising student successes in a particularly difficult final year of study, and also formally marks the official end of 13 years of education. We congratulate each and every student on their success and wish them well on their post-school adventures. We look forward to hearing of their adventures and encourage them to stay in touch with JPC. Wishing all families a blessed and restful Christmas, Ann Cleary
