New Non-Evidence and Overall Maximums for Life and Disability June 7, 2018 We are pleased to announce we have made changes to our Grandfathering rules and will now grandfather groups with as few as two lives. We’ve also increased our Non-Evidence Maximums (NEM) for our Life, Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Weekly Indemnity (WI) products, as well as Grandfathering and Overall Maximums for LTD. Greater financial protection for our customers These changes will provide greater financial protection for our customers’ plans and make it easier for groups with as few as two employees to make the switch to Empire Life. We are happy to report that with these increases, our NEM’s are now one of the highest in the industry. These changes affect both the BeneFit and 20Plus products. Enhancements are highlighted below: New NEM/Grandfathering rules to include two life groups (for groups with prior coverage)
Increased Life, LTD, and WI NEM’s
Increased LTD Grandfathering and Overall Maximums (groups with and without prior coverage)
The documents below detail our Grandfathering, Non-Evidence, and Overall Maximums. They are available on the Group Advisor site:
