No Handshakes in Heaven?Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the NIH's National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases, has become the media's go-to authority amid these dark days of the coronavirus pandemic. His quick mind and candid assessments of the disease’s strength and spread have become a daily mainstay for Americans. In an interview yesterday with Wall Street Journal's podcast he offered this candid advice for Americans when the pandemic finally ends: "Speaking about the eventual return to normal life, Dr. Fauci said: 'When you
gradually come back, you don't jump into it with both feet. You say what are the things you could still do and still approach normal. One of them is absolute compulsive hand washing. The other is you don't ever shake anybody's hands'". Read More | Subscribe to Blog
COVID-19 ResourcesSelf-isolating because of COVID-19? We are here to help! We have a team of volunteers that can help pick up things for you like groceries or medicine, and they can even call you to pray with you. Let us know how we can help!
Family, Faith, & Fun!When you get outside this week, take some time to do a fun game – either by yourself or with your family. Choose a letter of the alphabet and find as many things that start with that letter as you can. Keep choosing different letters to keep the fun going! You can easily play this game inside as well. While you're out and about you can also
collect eight medium-sized, smooth stones. These stones can be painted to become story stones about the events leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection. Have children help you choose stones and paint each one a different color. Adults or older children can draw with a paint pen or sharpie the symbols of the various events of the week: palm leaf, bread and cup, praying hands, sword, a crown of thorns, three crosses, tomb, and sunburst. Then on Sunday, share the story using the stones. For an example of what you can do, click the link below. - Sponsored by the Family Life Committee -
Spring Grow Group UpdateA sense of community is more important than ever. Grow Groups are a great way to satisfy that need. Many of our Spring Grow Groups are still going strong - meeting online, by phone, and even email. Considering our unique circumstances, we'd like to open up more groups to meet the needs of our local church family, neighbors, and our online viewing audience. We're currently looking for leaders who would be willing to lead a group
digitally or by phone during this time of isolation. Your leadership helps us reach those who are seeking friendship and spiritual, mental, and social engagement during this time of isolation. Digital Leader Registration Deadline is April 15 and groups meet April 27 - June 7.
Free Digital Version of
The Great ControversyIn a recent email Mark Cook, Principal/Designer of Types & Symbols (publisher of The Conflict Beautiful), made this special offer: "I wanted to follow up on the call the pastor gave for everyone to read through The Great Controversy. I recognize many people already own this book, or have access to it via the EGW app, but we wanted to make the Kindle/PDF version we created as a companion for The Conflict Beautiful available to anyone that might want or need it—free of charge. The one distinct difference between this edition and most others, is the fact that it uses NKJV in place of KJV throughout the
text, which we believe creates a much more coherent reading experience." Learn More
