Redland City Council Libraries and COVID-19
The State Government’s Greater Brisbane COVID-19 lockdown earlier this month saw us all welcome in the new year wearing masks and checking in for electronic contact tracing. These new Queensland Health restrictions meant some changes for our customers when visiting our branches, and the Library team would like to thank you for your understanding and support, especially with checking in, and helping to protect everyone’s health and safety.

Search for books, manage your checkouts, place holds and store your library card.
Plan your visit to the library and check in for contact tracing through the library app.

Adult Events
Live and in-person events are back on at our libraries! Limited numbers for COVID Safe requirements apply. Click the events below for more information and save your place.
Events for Early Childhood
Locations, dates and times can be found online. Download the Library App or visit Redland.qld.gov.au/LibraryWhatsOn. Bookings are essential.
Baby Time: 0-1 years
Meet other parents and babies for a fun session of books, singing, clapping and dancing. Learn songs and action rhymes to nurture your baby’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills.
Toddler Time: 0-3 years
A fun morning for parents and toddlers for a session of singing, clapping and dancing. Learn action rhymes and songs which will help your child’s pre-literacy, communication, language and social skills.
Children's Time: 3-5 years
Join us for this early literacy program. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children.
Pop Up Libraries
Meet with us out and about in the local parks for a fun filled session of stories and rhymes. Bring a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. The Mobile Library will also be on site for borrowing.

STEAM Saturday: 0-8 years
Join us for a fun morning of STEAM activities that alternate between technology, craft and music - a story telling session will be held on the fourth Saturday of the month.
Story Dogs after school : 6 - 8 years
Each month we will bring Story Dogs to the library to allow school age children to practise their reading and gain confidence by reading to a trained Story Dog.
