"Let me be an echo chamber for a moment—there hasn’t been an election like this in modern memory. So they tell us. And who could disagree? By some estimates, 69 million early voters have already exercised their prized right. That represents over half of the total votes cast in the 2016 presidential election! And Election Day is still a week off. Go figure. But the pundits cannot figure it out—because there’s no way to predict the outcome of what will likely be the most contentious and divisive presidential race in U.S. history. And given the record mail-in voting (thanks to the pandemic), this season of uncertainty may linger long past the last ballot cast next Tuesday night.

Message from Your Pioneer Pastors

We've been so blessed to be worshiping with you in person at the church again! As COVID-19 cases rise in our area, however, we want to recognize our safety protocols in place, which includes our maximum occupancy for our worshiping spaces. For your safety, we invite some of you to join us for our 9:00 AM worship service if you are able. As a reminder, we wear face masks inside the building at all times and practice social distancing. We continue to live stream both services so if you have any symptoms or are not feeling well you can stay connected from home. Mommy and Me

Mommy and Me has started up for the semester! This is a group for kids 0-5 years old and their parents to come to make friends, learn, and play! Meetings on Tuesday mornings from 10:00 – 11:15 AM. Pre-registration is required this year because of space restrictions and health precautions. The location will vary. Dads are welcome. Invite a friend! One of the things my family has been enjoying this season is milkweed pods. Are you familiar with them? You might walk past a field of them and not think anything of them. You would see gray, horn-shaped, dried-out, spiky pods on the end of tall, skinny stems. They look uninviting and perhaps even uninteresting. But the truth is so much better than that! When you look more closely, you’ll see that these pods hold a beautiful secret! If you flip the pods over, you may notice that they have a crack in their hard, outer shell. You may even see some fluffiness sticking out. Crack them open further, you’ll see dozens and dozens of seeds with silk attached to them. And this is when the real fun begins!
