Early Learning Center at Casa Azafrán is Officially Open!

Monday, October 13th, Metro Nashville Public School's Early Learning Center at Casa Azafrán was officially opened. Many elected officials were present as well as members of the community, parents and students, and Allard Ward Architects. We are honored to have been a part of this great project.

Mayor Karl Dean addressed the crowd as well as Dr. Jesse Register of MNPS and Renata Soto of Conexion Americas. Representative Jim Cooper is pictured on the right and the new Director of the Early Learning Center, Johanna Guerrero, is pictured in the center.

The Early Learning Center consists of 4 classrooms with a total of 80 students. Each classroom is equipped with cubbies, tiny furniture, and play areas. A Playroom, Kitchen, and outdoor play space supplement the children's daily activities. Rooms are bright, well lit, and create a fun, energetic learning environment for the Pre-Kindergarten children.

Design for the project began in April and construction started in mid July. Brian Haun and Michael Ward of AWA worked closely with Southland Constructors and MNPS to ensure timely completion and a high level of quality.

Thankfully, the rain held off during the ceremony. There was a great turnout!

We're very good at coloring...but not that great at fitting in tiny, Pre-K sized furniture...
