Public Health Clinics to Focus on Publicly Funded Vaccines
- Effective Sept. 1, 2019, the administration of fee-for-service (FFS) vaccines will be phased out at Niagara Region Public Health & Emergency Services (NRPH&ES)
general immunization clinics
- NRPH&ES general immunization clinics will focus on publicly funded vaccines to ensure timely access to all populations who are in need of immunization
If a Client Has Already Started a FFS Series with NRPH&ES
- Anyone who started a FFS vaccine series at a NRPH&ES clinic prior to Sept. 1 will be able to complete their series with us by March 2020, pending availability
Where to Send Clients for FFS Vaccines
Clients wishing to access FFS vaccines can visit one of the following
- Health care provider
- Walk-in clinic
- Most pharmacies (with a prescription as required)
- Travel clinic
- Visit Canada.ca: search yellow fever for a list of Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres
