From the College Nurse

Please ensure you are registered with a Cambridge GP (General Practitioner/family doctor). You can register with any local GP. The nearest GP Practice is Newnham Walk Surgery; you can register online. You will need to send them:

• copy of photo ID, e.g. passport or driving licence, 
• copy of proof of address, e.g. proof of college residency or utility bill or bank statement

If you would rather register with a GP elsewhere in Cambridge, search the NHS website, respecting the catchment area limitations. Each GP practice will have details of how to register on their website.

Travel & Research Grants

Applications are now open. Further information and eligibility on our website. Please ask your Referees to add their comments on this form.
Deadlines:
UNDERGRADUATES AND MPHILS
25 Jan 2021 for research or travel in March and April
3 May 2021 for research or travel between May and Oct  
PHD STUDENTS
may submit applications at any time, but  at least 2 weeks before the proposed travel or research.  

Only students still enrolled at Wolfson College in 2021-2022 are eligible for these grants from June-Sept.

Are you a returning student having issues reconnecting to Eduroam? The university information systems team have made some changes to Eduroam tokens that may require you to renew yours. Follow  the new guides to get reconnected.

Did you know that you can download and utilise Microsoft office 365 for free if you have a Raven account? Simply go to Office.com and log in with your CRSid to get started.

Check your Cover

The College includes insurance for all student that live with us via Endsleigh Insurance. Don't forget to confirm your cover to fully understand what is and isn’t covered. You can find a copy of the insurance policy in the Guide to Accommodation 2020. You can also review full policy details on the Endsleigh website.

Second Matriculation Photo

The second matriculation photo session has been moved from 11 Oct to 24 Oct at 12.00 midday

The photographers will be here for an hour. Please make sure you are at the marquee in the East Court by 13.00 at the latest.

Formal wear is advised and if you have a gown, please wear it!

From the Tutorial Office Manager

Exam Enrolments: Please note that an email for exam enrolments will be sent to all undergraduates later this week. Please respond to this email in good time.

CamSIS and updates: Please make sure that your ‘home’ and ‘term time’ addresses are up-to-date on CamSIS. Also update your phone number and note that most emails will be sent to your CRSid address, so arrange to forward your emails to your 'preferred' email if it is not your CRSid address.

Essential Water Works

The maintenance department undertakes essential works, one of which is to flush the water systems in all unused rooms weekly on Mondays. We are following all current government guidelines on face masks and social distancing. For those in residence this is a polite notice to let you know why we are accessing rooms. Thank you for your co-operation.

Door Replacement

Following a fire risk assessment undertaken by Cromwell Fire we have commissioned Bayard Construction to replace doors around College.

Stage 1 took place from 15 Sept-7 Oct. Stage 2 will be decoration of the new doors undertaken by the Wolfson College Decorators (David and Dean) and arranged through David Rivers via email.

Bayard Construction and the College staff will adhere to government guidelines on face masks and social distancing.

Q&A from the Porters' Lodge

Q: Why is there post for someone else in my pigeon hole?

A: Everyone is sharing a pigeon hole with one or two other students. So please check carefully what post you take out of it.

Current Heating Times

The current heating times are 07.00-10.00 and 18.00-23.00. The Domestic Bursar, Darren Smith, will update you throughout the year when these times change.
