Saddle Road maintenance

Unfortunately the weather has not been favourable for our Saddle Road intensive maintenance works. The work was supposed to be completed by now, but bad weather has caused postponements to the works. We are working extra hours to get this done, and appreciate your patience while this work goes on. We estimate that we will still have another 6 days of heavy maintenance that will require westbound lane closures.

Update on temporary bypass of Ashhurst

Due to feedback from residents we are exploring improvements for a temporary bypass of Ashhurst.

In update no 3 we said we were looking at an option to take traffic along Mulgrave Street, past Durham Street, over a paper road to join up to River Road. We realise this option is only a partial bypass of Ashhurst and therefore not ideal. Residents also agree, so we are exploring alternative options.
