Holiday Ordering and Delivery Schedule for Vaccines and Beyfortus®

To: Health Care Professionals in Niagara
From: Clinical Services Division, Niagara Region Public Health
Reference: Holiday Ordering and Delivery Schedule for Vaccines and Beyfortus®
Date: November 24, 2025

Public Health will be closed December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1. This memo will help health care providers plan ahead so they have enough vaccine over the holiday season. It also gives office staff the information they need to order on time.

Reminders

  • Beyfortus® will continue to be distributed based on product availability
  • Only order what your vaccine fridge can safely hold while being mindful that the 2025-2026 Record Review has started. Your office may need to manage increased demand in getting students caught-up on routine vaccines:
    • Vaccine Order form for Physicians and Primary Care
    • School Program Vaccine Order Form (for release of grade 7 vaccines Hepatitis B, Meningococcal ACYW-135 and HPV)
  • The deadline to submit your vaccine order is three full business days prior to your delivery date, the day of delivery does not count (i.e. if your delivery is on Thursday December 18, you need to submit your order by end of day Friday December 12). Program staff require time to process and pack all vaccine orders coming in to Public Health, so delivery of late orders will need to wait until your next scheduled delivery date.
  • Due to capacity, vaccine pick-up is not available as an option

Vaccination Services for Students

Your office may be hearing from some families of students with incomplete vaccination records; some may require vaccination. Public Health will be offering secondary school immunization clinics and some clinics for the wider student population. However, there will not be enough clinic spots for every student who is overdue in Niagara. Public Health will prioritize students who face barriers to accessing vaccination services. Please consider offering vaccination to patients who are due or overdue for vaccinations, particularly patients in elementary school.

New Men-C-ACYW-135 Product

The Ontario Ministry of Health has indicated that Menactra will be replaced with MenQuadfi as the Men-C-ACYW-135 product. As Public Health receives this product from the Ministry, we will begin distributing it to health care provider offices. MenQuadfi is indicated for individuals 12 months of age and older.

Vaccination Services for Adults

Please ensure you are ordering sufficient RSV vaccine for patients 75 years of age and older as Public Health has limited appointments available and will be asking these individuals to follow up with their primary care provider.
