CANCELLATION OF JUMPING WA ELECTIONS

Dear EWA members,

Following legal advice as requested at the EWA AGM we have been advised that the dissolution of the EWA Jumping Committee was not conducted within the rules of the EWA Constitution and therefore the EWA Jumping committee is reinstated and the proposed Jumping elections cancelled.

The further question regarding eligibility to vote at Sport committee elections and the vote process was found to be compliant with the EWA Constitution.

The EWA Board apologises for placing the Jumping committee members in this situation.

Yours sincerely,

Ron Fleming
EWA Chair

STATE EQUESTRIAN CENTRE - NEWS

PLEASE TAKE CARE OF OUR FACILITIES

Equestrian WA has a membership of approximately 2,400 members, it is a private, not-for-profit organisation and the SEC relies a lot on the membership fees to remain operational and financial. The SEC is over 30 years old and is still here to provide you facilities for you to enjoy with your horse.

We take pride in our facilities and would appreciate it if you could look after our facilities, after all, they are funded by YOU. The more damage caused, the more repairs and maintenance costs and the more each year you need to contribute to the fund to keep things in excellent condition!

DRESSAGE - NEWS

14/05/2019

06/05/2019

TO ALL DRESSAGE EVENT ORGANISERS – HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT INCLUDING PARA EQUESTRIAN TESTS AT YOUR EVENTS?

Thank you to the clubs who currently offer Para Equestrian tests at their fixtures.

Dressage WA and the Para Equestrian riders appreciate your willingness to give them this opportunity.

For clubs who are unfamiliar with requirements for running PE tests, in a nut shell, there are very few-
PE Riders are encouraged to contact clubs to request that they include a specific PE Test on their programme. Clubs are not expected to hold these tests if they have not had a request from a PE rider.

Grades I-III riders ride in a 40x20 arena - this is probably the most trouble to arrange but the riders are aware that they should bring a helper to help with any arena changes.
Grades IV and V riders ride in a 60x20 arena – require no arena changes and can ride before or at the completion of any Able Bodied tests.

Judges – although it is ideal to have a PE Judge, riders are happy to have the opportunity to compete and most judges will officiate if you check with them, when they are invited. You may already have already invited a PE judge, as they are all accredited EA Dressage Judges.

Para Equestrian Accredited Judges – Wendy Barker, Lisa Baker, Hazel Hikins, Kim Thomas, Elaine Greene, Nadine Herbert, Virginia Longley, Tracey Hockley, Chris Hope.
Like all Dressage riders, Para Dressage riders need to compete to hone their skills.  We have some very talented Para riders who have competed and are aiming to compete in the Eastern States. Some have some have done this very successfully and have a goal to represent Australia.

THEY NEED YOUR HELP TO GET THE SCORES WHICH WILL HELP THEM REACH THS GOAL
