Enjoy learning new nursery rhymes to sing with your little one, or discovering fun and engaging stories to share.
Don’t worry – our sessions are designed especially for children 0 – 5 years. If your baby is a bit noisy or your toddler won’t sit still, you’ll be joining families and library staff who completely understand!

Pop up Libraries

As your little one grows and changes, so will your reading moments. Some children love to snuggle up for a good book, but others just can't sit still!
Both responses are completely natural. Some busy toddlers like to play with toys or stand up during reading, some need you to control the pages, and some will let you read while they wander.
Even if your child looks busy with something else, they're taking in words, sounds and spending time with you!
Here's how to make the most of reading with wrigglers:
- Offer a variety of books to choose from.
- Read at a time of day that works for you and your toddler.
- Skip pages if you need, and tell your own story.
- Make reading interactive. Ask questions, let them turn pages and talk about what's interesting in their world.
