Wednesday Night Hop condemns the continued police violence against the Black community and we stand with Black Lives Matter.
We are looking forward to a fun dance party with live music by Nick Rossi's Swing Six along with finishing up the class series for the month. Moreover, professional photographer Aurelia Santos will be snapping photos during the dance -- find more info below! All our events are masked and vaxxed.

We won't be taking cash payment at the door.
Our masking and vaccination policy is enforced at all times during the event. Please read carefully to make sure it works for you.
Masks:
- We require masks except when drinking water.
- We encourage N95 masks and provide them for free at the front desk.
- We allow surgical masks but not cloth masks.
Vaccinations:
- We accept vaccination QR codes and vaccination cards.
- We check valid government-issued photo IDs at the door.
- We are no longer restricting vaccinations to Pfizer and Moderna; as long as the person is fully vaccinated two weeks before the event date.

Newcomer Taster Drop-in Class (8:15-9:15 pm)
All levels are welcome; no dance experience is needed!
We will explore the essential history and movement for vintage swing dances. Jump-start into partnered dancing and enjoy entry to the social dance afterward to practice your new skills and meet new friends.
Live Music w/ Nick Rossi's Swing Six (9:30-11:30 pm)
San Francisco based guitarist and bandleader Nick Rossi's Swing Six is devoted to 1930s-1940s inspired small group swing jazz. While the core of the group reflects a deep appreciation for Count Basie's small combo recordings as well as other elements of Kansas City Jazz, their dancer-friendly repertoire encompasses both well known and obscure favorites from the first Swing Era. Nick regularly features ensemble players and soloists such as Kamrin Ortiz, Clint Baker, and Neil Fontano. For more info checkout: promotional video, instagram page, and facebook page.
Photo Day w/ Aurelia Santos
Wednesday Night Hop needs new pictures! Most of our advertising showcases our pre-pandemic, non-masked dancers; we love them, but it doesn't reflect the dance floor we have now. We are inviting local dancer-organizer and professional photographer Aurelia Santos to join us on our live band night on March 29th to take photos of our community dancing the night away! This is a fair warning to dress in your fanciest duds or swingiest styles, if you care about that sort of thing, or stick with the casual flair and dance your heart out! We will have special stickers for people who don't like to be photographed directly, but please be aware that you may still show up indistinctly or in backgrounds. We do not offer drop-ins for the class series. So make sure to register for monthly class series before the first Wednesday of the month!

Love dancing but don't want to spend money? Or maybe you want to find ways to give back and help run the Wednesday Night Hop community. In either case, you can sign up to volunteer with us to get free access to our dances and lessons. Subscribe to the volunteer email list using this form.
Community Fund Donation
This is a way for dancers who have a little extra money to help those who cannot afford to take classes or come to dances. Anybody can donate, and anyone can ask to be subsidized. Find out details and donate on our website.
