In the first three months of 2018, four back-to-back Nor'Easters hit the U.S. Northeast with heavy snows, rains, and winds that caused massive power outages, and record-setting floods. On our blog, Barr's Climate team and colleagues spoke about the urgency and opportunities in preparing for the impacts of climate change. Meanwhile, our Education team highlighted a new resource for parents looking at Boston school options. And, Arts & Creativity launched a state-wide arts initiative in partnership with five community foundations. Catch these and other highlights below.

At its first board meeting of 2018, Barr awarded new grants including support to design innovative school models; develop regional approaches to reducing greenhouse gas emissions; and build understanding to spark positive change in the diversity of nonprofit leadership.
