Industrial sampling is much more than the sum of its parts

Samplers used in oil and gas refineries and chemical or petrochemical plants must be specifically designed for the industry’s unique application needs. However, many plants use samplers cobbled together from older pieces and parts that may not be suitable, rather than using samplers or sampling panels proven in the refinery, chemical and petrochemical environments. This can mean a sampling operation that is ineffective, or worse, unsafe. Read more here.

The Sentry MIL low-emission gas sampler is just one sampling solution for oil & gas refineries and chemical & petrochemical plants.

Better sampling specs = better safety

The chief concern in sampling is protecting the safety of the environment, and especially the operators involved in the sampling process. Often, specifications to build a new sampling system refer to old equipment, including outdated sample coolers such as “bucket” coolers – an unsafe method that does not incorporate best practices or provide safety for operators. Once certain information is provided, the best and most specific Sentry sampling solution for a particular plant can be created.

Food sampling: More than snacking at the market

We’ve all been told to avoid processed foods, but many foods, even healthy ones, undergo some form of processing. Whether it’s oranges being squeezed and packaged as juice, fish being cleaned and packaged, or peanut butter being mixed and placed into containers, all food processing is required to follow local, national and international food safety regulations. Best practices and regulation of processed foods requires representative sampling and accurate analysis. Read more here.

A wide array of food requires sampling, and Sentry sampling solutions can meet those needs.

New magnetic trap alleviates combined cycle power plant’s iron issue

Water within a power plant must be sampled to meet regulations, and most particulates must remain within the system so they can provide a representative sample. Yet, magnetite particles cause jamming and plugging of sampling and conditioning components and must be removed. A new solution - the magnetic trap - does just that. Read more here.

The new and innovative Sentry MT Series magnetic trap is attractive to power plants.
