Principal's Message

Dear Families,

I hope everyone enjoyed the Long Weekend and spent time relaxing.

Parent/Teacher Interviews - We are still awaiting confirmation from the Education Department about Parent/Teacher interviews, we will hopefully know by the end of the week.

School Closure Day - A reminder to parents that next Friday 25th June (the last day of Term 2) is a School Closure Day.  Staff will be undertaking Professional Development on this day and Brenton will be updating our computer server.

Centenary Celebrations - We are turning 100 this year. We are looking for any memorabilia- books, reports, uniforms, photos etc - that we can take a copy of or borrow just for the weekend. Please give us a ring at school or send an email to principal@sjeuroa.catholic.edu.au. We’d love to see anything.

Have a lovely week,

Libby Hamilton

Week 9 Prayer

Week 9 Newsletter Prayer:

“The Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a person took and sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all the seeds, yet when full-grown it is the largest of plants. It becomes a large bush, and the birds of the sky come and dwell in its branches.”  Matthew 13:31b-32

This passage above reveals the absolute fact that God wants to use your life for great things!  The smallest seed becomes the largest bush. The truth is that each one of us is capable of making a HUGE difference in our world.  In God’s eyes we have potential beyond what we could ever daydream about. What does it mean to be transformed by God into the “largest of plants” as the mustard seed is?  It means we are given the incredible privilege to fulfill the exact, perfect and glorious plan God has for our lives. Saint Mother Teresa often said, “We are called to be faithful, not successful.”

Lord, I know that without You I am nothing.  Without You my life has no meaning.  Help me to embrace Your perfect and glorious plan for my life and, in that plan, to achieve the greatness to which You call me.  Jesus, I trust in You.

May you recognise in your life the presence, power and light of your soul.

May you realise that you are never alone that your soul in its brightness and belonging connects you intimately with the rhythm of the universe.

May you have respect for your own individuality and difference.

May you realise that the shape of your soul is unique, that you have a special destiny here that behind the façade of your life there is something beautiful, good and eternal happening.

May you learn to see your self with the same delight, pride and expectation with which God sees you in every moment.
