God Looked Down
From Heaven and Laughed

The well-known line from Psalm 2 actually reads like this: “The One enthroned in heaven laughs” (v 4). QUES: What would cause God to break out in such laughter? ANS: A political coalition here on earth—one targeting His kingdom (vv 1-3). In this season when the coronavirus and the US political scene are the preoccupations of the media, I know well the axiom: politics is the third rail of polite company—touch it and it is curtains for you. During this weekend you will explore and learn more about discipleship in the context of family. Pastor Ben Martin and his wife, Brianna, are keynote speakers, with breakout sessions to include discipling at every age level, parenting through divorce, and more. Family worship, a Saturday evening social, and family discipleship resources round out the weekend.

Pioneer Memorial Church is working together with the Michigan Conference to bring Fieldwork to Southwest Michigan. Fieldwork is a home improvement initiate to be Love on the Move in our community. We are asking for two things. 1. Join our $100 challenge to be apart of the team going to fix up someone's home. 2. Ruth Murdoch Elementary School Interactive Wax Museum

March 5, 2020, 6:00 PM

For Social Studies class, each Ruth Murdoch Second Grade Student has been assigned a famous person. They will be that person at the Wax Museum and use their creativity to dress the part, plus share important facts, hand-outs and/or foods that relate to that famous person. Come join us to see more than 20 famous second grade "Wax figures"! Everyone is welcome!

Passion Play Hospitality Tent

On Saturday, April 11, Andrews University will be hosting over 5,000 people for an event called the Passion Play. On that day, the campus of Andrews will go back in time to transform into scenes of first-century Jerusalem. It will be a walkthrough experience lasting 1.5 hours with live animals and actors. After the final scene, which depicts the resurrection of Jesus, guests will be invited into the Passion Play Hospitality Tent, which PMC hosts. We need over 150 volunteers on that day to serve as greeters and to serve hot chocolate.
