MENTAL WELLBEING PROVISION IN SPORT SURVEY
In May 2020, Healthway commissioned researchers at Monash University to undertake a review of existing initiatives operating in sports clubs, seeking to promote positive mental health and wellbeing. The aims of the research are to gain a comprehensive understanding of the work being undertaken to support positive mental health in community sports contexts across WA and determine what resources and support might need to be provided in the future to support mental health work and training across the community sport sector.
The research will assist Healthway to develop guidance and resources for sporting associations and community sports clubs to determine what types of initiatives and programs are most effective to engage with depending on current levels of knowledge. The research will provide a valuable mapping of existing support.
The researchers would like to invite you to complete a short survey overviewing the initiatives that your club or State Sporting Association are aware of, your views and opinions of these initiatives and resources and what else you believe could be done to support this area of work in the future. The survey can be completed online and should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

LOOKING FOR A WAY TO RAISE FUNDS DURING THESE TOUGH TIME?
There's an initiative that is being undertaken by a company called Click Frenzy, who are running a sport weekend of online shopping across the country in the next 2 weeks. As part of the initiative they are also running a virtual canteen for all community clubs to help raise money that goes directly to clubs.
We’ve created this FAQ document based on a compilation of queries to your questions to make you understand the State Equestrian Centre and Equestrian WA better!
With the latest easing of restrictions in Phase 4 by the WA Government, we have now reviewed and updated the following documents to support the gradual restart of the equestrian activities in WA.
We all want to get back to normal life as soon as possible. Ensuring our members, their friends and families remain safe and prepared is critical to achieving this.
One of the ways we can all play our part is to get the Australian Government's COVIDSafe app. While downloading the app is entirely voluntary, it has been highly recommended by both the Australian and WA Governments to assist our health professionals and help stop the spread of COVID-19.
Equestrian WA is encouraging all members to consider downloading the app to help keep our community safer.

EQUESTRIAN AUSTRALIA ANTI-DOPING POLICY AMENDED
NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS:
The Equestrian Australia Anti-Doping Policy has been amended and is effective 10 August 2020.
The changes bring our sport in line with the establishment of Sport Integrity Australia which replaced the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) as the National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) in Australia from 1 July 2020.
Coach registration opened 29 June 2020; it's great to see many of you have already jumped onto the MyEA portal and renewed.
All 2019/20 coach registrations were extended to 31 July 2020 – this included extending insurance cover for all coaches insured through the EA Coach Insurance Programme.
If you haven't already joined the rest and renewed, it’s important to do so by 31 July 2020, to ensure you remain a current registered accredited (and in most cases, insured) EA coach.
