It has been a very tough time for all of us with the impact of COVID19.

My arts and entertainment community has been hit especially hard in Australia and all over the world. Many of my fellow freelancers have lost everything overnight with devastating consequences on their lives with no clear view for resumption this year. I'd like you to think about the arts and the support workers to the arts, next time you watch Netflix, live stream a gig or listen to the radio. We will overcome as we have in the past, but there will be less of us than before. I am truly sad about that. Stay well, wash your hands and please buy a ticket to an online event, an album rather than stream on Spotify or simply donate.

Virtual Art Gallery

Due to coronavirus restrictions, last month we rose to the challenge to rapidly turn around a new website and virtual tour of the exhibition of The Gallipoli Art Prize .The virtual tour can be accessed here.

Congratulations to Alison Mackay who has won the 2020 Gallipoli Art Prize with her powerful work ‘Breathe’ Her artwork was influenced by the bush fire smoke that surrounded her home last summer.

Dubai World Expo, Australian Arts and Cultural Program

Due to COVID 19, the Dubai World Expo has been postponed a full year to now open in October, 2021. We will be in contact with all artists and companies shortly to advise. Read the official announcement here

Sydney Fringe Festival

Due to COVID restrictions, Sydney Fringe Festival will not be going ahead as planned in its current form. Working with Cultural Exchange partner Stockholm Fringe and the Nordic Fringe Network and International Award partners Brighton Fringe, NZ Fringe, San Diego and Hollywood Fringe, they will be streaming the best International Fringe work direct to Sydney together with some terrific new local works. Think Inside the Square

I’ve been asked recently to talk on a number of panels to give practical insights on helping clients react quickly to the COVID crisis and how it is affecting their businesses. I recently spoke on The Australia Council for the Arts episode of ‘Think Inside the Square’, digital adaption local approach. I was joined on the panel with fellow arts marketer, Jonathan Llewellyn.
