We are proud to say that there is not another acting studio in the country that comes close to Film & Television Studio International's illustrious group of trainers and industry guests.  At our studio we get straight to the point by going directly to the source of Australia's film & television, and that of course lies with the shows Creators, Heads of Network, Heads of Drama, Executive Producers and Series Producers.  For detailed information on past and present trainers, and special guests, please click here.

Over the years, Text to Screen-Test has been facilitated by some of Australia's most loved actors, and meticulously shaped to guide and encourage students to work on their specific areas requiring development, whilst bringing forth their strengths when screen-testing for prime-time drama In Term Two Scott Major and Nathaniel Dean will work with actors both individually and as a company, assisting students to POP from moment one of an audition.  Scenes are assigned to students each week along with an outline on the course content and prep work for each session. For actors who participated in previous terms, they have another opportunity to work in this ongoing manner with our outstanding trainers & special guests. Continuing across the terms ensures stability in training & rehearsal, and consistency in terms of the guidance & feedback offered, with scenes selected to target specific areas of weakness and strength. The studio also welcomes actors to the program who have not participated in previous terms as they can begin this process, leading to a stronger understanding of the requirements of screen testing.

On the last week of term, students will be able to put their hard work into practice during their one-on-one screen-testing session with Tony Knight.  Head of Acting for the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) for nearly 25 years, Tony was both Acting Teacher and Theatre Director, as well as the creator of the 3 year Acting Degree curriculum and its implementation.  Tony is a master teacher/director.  His ability to nurture talented students to higher and higher levels of performance and achievement is legendary.  With a Ph.D. in English, Drama & History, Tony's knowledge and skills as a Director and as an educator are amongst the finest in the world - and the list of stars that have emerged under his direction is without comparison.  Training some of Australia’s most celebrated national and international actors, such as Cate Blanchett, Sam Worthington, Alex O’Loughlin and Miranda Otto, Tony is one of the greats - and the respect and true bonds that he builds with his students and his casts makes him an ongoing mentor.  Tony has guided thousands of actors through the gruelling audition process at NIDA, as well as further coaching and preparing them for professional work in the film & television industry.  He has also directed some of the finest actors in country, across all performing mediums.

We are thrilled to present this exciting eight week block of intensive actor training and scene preparation with incredible actors and directors, and the opportunity to then work one-one-one with Tony Knight, further developing your auditioning knowledge and skills.  A program not to be missed.
