April is shaping up as a busy month in the Education department, with a large number of Dressage and Show Horse Judge reaccreditations being processed, an FEI jumping Course Designers Course, and an FEI Vaulting Course. Coach Educator/SSTA Workshops were organised in both Queensland and Tasmania States. The Education team has been working hard to bring quality training opportunities to our members.

If you are a Dressage or Show Horse judge yet to reaccredit please send in your reaccreditation pack as soon as possible or contact the national office if you need assistance and we will be happy to help you navigate the process.

Just a reminder to our coaches that Coach Renewals are due 30 June 2015, which is fast approaching. Coaches will receive an email link to enable online renewal the same as last year.

Renewals are due 30 June 2015. Coaches will be able to register online again this year. An automated email form has been sent to all current and 2014 expired coaches. MORE

Equestrian Australia and Gow-Gates Insurance Brokers have developed an insurance policy for top-up coverage for EA Officials. MORE

EA will be hosting an FEI Vaulting Stewards Course on the 23rd – 25th  April in Sydney (NSW). The course, conducted by Frank Spadinger (AUT) is for promotion to FEI Level 1 and a refresher for existing FEI Level 1 and 2 Vaulting Stewards. Observers eg. Coaches and Event Organisers for professional development are welcome to attend. For more information click HERE.

EA will be conducting an FEI Eventing Officials Course and an FEI Stewards Course in conjunction with the Melbourne International Horse Trials from 5-8th  June 2015. Eric Winter (GBR) has been appointed as the overall Course Director. The Eventing Officials course will be open for Eventing Course Designers, Technical Delegates and Dressage Judges. The Eventing Stewards Course will be open to National Eventing Stewards seeking promotion to FEI level 1 Eventing Steward, level 1 steward seeking transfer to level 2, and for FEI level 2 Eventing Steward for continuing their education For more information click HERE 

More than 120 young people flocked to the Werribee Park Equestrian Centre on Tuesday to participate in the first Ready Set Trot School Holiday Expo. MORE  

Are you an Equestrian Australia official who has recently officiated overseas and interested in sharing your experiences with other officials and the greater equestrian community for a new series?  

Insights will tell the stories of international competitions from an Officials perspective.

The stories that we collect will be published on the Equestrian Australia website and/or newsletters and EA social media sites.

If you are interested in recounting your time abroad as an official, please visit the EA website to submit your details. Officials who participate will be asked to submit a brief summary of their experience and also provide an image/s from the event.
