At our annual oompah-fest out behind the Chestnut Hill store, you'll enjoy Dietz & Watson brats and kraut, washed down with beer from our friends at Iron Hill Brewery just down the Avenue. Vegan options will be available, plus potato salad, soft pretzels and all the mustards. Music will be provided by The Green Monkeys. Ask them to play "Ein Prosit" and see what happens.

The Weavers Way Food Justice Committee helped introduce the Food For All program, which makes Co-op membership more accessible to those receiving SNAP, Medicaid and other forms of assistance, and continues to work on food insecurity and expanding the impact of Food For All. Wizards festival this weekend, Friday-Saturday, Oct. 19-20. Shifts at the Chestnut Hill store include setup and breakdown (3 p.m.), children's activities including face-painting, pumpkin crafts and apple pressing, as well as monitoring the dessert table and the cauldron.
- Want to help the Co-op recycle materials that are usually non-recyclable? Wondering where our warehouse REALLY is? Sign up to help clean, sort and ship materials to TerraCycle the last Thursday of the month. The next shift is 10 a.m.-noon, Oct. 25 and Nov. 29.
- This year we are supporting "The Challah Lab" hosted by Challah for Hunger on Sunday, Oct. 28, 3-5 p.m., at Congregation Adath Jeshurun, 7763 Old York Road, Elkins Park. Weavers Way will be donating some ingredients for the challah-making as well as apples for the event-goers. Cooperators are invited to help with the event, which will draw about 200 people
