The most important thing to remember is to take care of yourselves during this period. Go to the RecCentre, go for a hīkoi with a mate or take to read a book, whatever it is, make sure you get plenty of rest and relaxation. Our team is available for any support you may need over the end of Semester 1 and into the exam period. Sitting exams in the culmination of a course of university study. Learning how to handle examination nerves and ways to maximise your chances for a high grade are skills well worth developing. Do you have whakapapa Māori? Tōia mai tō waka! Nāia mātou o Te Tari o te Amokapua Māori e karanga atu ki a koutou - nau mai, tauti mai ki tō tātou nei hui whakawhanaungatanga! He noho marae tēnei kia here i ō tātou waka ki uta o Kaupapa, o Kōingo, o Hononga. Kāore e kore, he ngahau, he hākari kai te haere! The Office of the Assistant Vice-Chancellor Māori invite you to attend Tōia mai tuarua, a two-day fun filled noho at Koukourarata Marae on 9 & 10 July 2019. This event is open to all ākonga Māori who are new to UC and all kai and transport will be provided. Engari, kia kūrapa e hoa mā – space is limited so be sure to register asap! There is no cost to attend this event however we do encourage you to bring a small koha (donation) of a gold coin. An update with more information will be sent to you regarding transport times, meeting points, what to bring etc a week before the noho. Tēnā, whakawahā te riri! *In the event of tangihanga, this event may be cancelled or postponed. Te Whare Ākonga o te AkatokiTe Whare Ākonga o te Akatoki (the Whare) is a place where ākonga Māori can study, relax and meet other ākonga at UC. The whare is used primarily for group study, hui, the occasional lecture, cooking, checking emails and catching up with friends over a coffee.
