Regional Chair Bradley congratulates Dr. Hirji on his new role in Sudbury

On behalf of Regional Council and the Board of Health, I am pleased to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Hirji on his recent appointment as the Medical Officer of Health and CEO of Public Health Sudbury & Districts.

Dr. Hirji has been an invaluable asset to our community, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. His unwavering dedication, exemplary leadership, and selfless sacrifice have played a crucial role in safeguarding the health and well-being of our residents. In what was undoubtedly one of the most challenging times for public health professionals across globe, Dr. Hirji distinguished himself through his unwavering ethics, expertise and professionalism.  

As he takes on this new role in Sudbury, we express our deepest gratitude for Dr. Hirji's tireless efforts and commitment to public health. We are confident that his wealth of experience and expertise will continue to contribute significantly to the health and prosperity of Sudbury and its surrounding communities.
