A new brand for our communityWelcome to The Sands Community – a new brand that has been created for all our communications to you, the residents. Our website address will soon change from www.sandsOC1.com.au to www.thesandscommunity.com.au. The new site will not be password protected but will have a members only section containing sensitive information such as committee minutes and financials which will be password protected. Both the website and e-newsletter (bi monthly) will be focused on providing The Sands Community with information about:

For the past 18 years Peter had spent a third of each year in China selling Australian agricultural products and among his clients were the owners of the WCG. With his assistance, the deal was completed. Peter has contributed significantly to the different aspects of the business operations through his networking and the good relationships he has developed with the residents, particularly during the transitional period. He provided constructive suggestions and solutions using his experience and business acumen. Through his efforts, a good relationship has been built between the company and the community as a whole. He will continue to assist the new management team in growing the business and provide coordination between the owners and residents of The Sands Community. What has been achieved in the 9 months since The Sands was acquired by WCG?
A new General Manager, Michael Wang, has recently been appointed by WCG and is currently reviewing all areas within the business, with the view of developing a new business plan to ensure future growth. Michael’s background is in CFO roles for listed companies in Hong Kong.
We're above averageThe median house price for Torquay since 2008 has increased by $355,000 (91%) to $745,000 in 2018. Whilst a slow start for The Sands, our median house price is now $1,011,000 – $250,000 more than the town average – further cementing the estate's values are climbing ahead of the traditional market. In the last five months The Sands has recorded four $1million plus sales in record time.
Health Club SurveyThe Sands Health Club Survey 2018 has just been completed with 207 lot owner responses, 76% of whom were permanent residents of The Sands, Torquay.
Beginner Golf Program 2018The Sands Beginner Golf Membership Program 2018 will run from April 1 to September 30 at 1pm.

Estate trees health reportFollowing a tender process, Drysdale based arborist “Let’s Talk About Trees” conducted a visual inspection of all street trees on the estate and reported on tree health, safety, retention value and maintenance requirements. Whilst the vast majority were deemed to be satisfactory, 6 were identified as dead or seriously compromised and their immediate removal was recommended. A further 8 were sited to be likely to require significant intervention or removal in the future. Remedial actions are being planned accordingly. The full report is available on the website.
