The New Zealand music and education communities were very sad to hear that Judith Clark CNZM, preeminent music educator and indomitable champion of New Zealand music, passed away in Wellington on the 9th of February, 2014.

Three works with different sense of cultural identity, each belonging to a physical location.

This CD features Douglas Lilburn's Salutes to Seven Poets, arranged by Donald Maurice for viola, piano and narrator.


   NEW TO SOUNZ: SCORE

Living Echoes: The First 150 Years of PIano Music from New Zealand

In this new 'must have' piano album are 54 of the most charming, scary, funny, and dance-like pieces of piano music written by 32 New Zealand composers over 150 years. Their manuscripts were mostly unpublished – until now.

The music is suitable for a wide variety of pianists. Some are very easy and can be played by beginners. The pieces become successively more advanced, up to grade 7 level.
