Forest Mint

The U.S. Forest Service announced in late January that the White Mountain National Forest, New Hampshire, is being depicted on an “America the Beautiful” quarter recently released from the U.S. Mint. The more than 3,500-ft. Mount Chocorua, surrounded by lakes and forest, is a favorite destination of hikers. Fifty-six other national forests and parks will appear on future quarters minted in this series. They will join already- minted quarters depicting Mount Hood National Forest in Oregon and El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico.
