The Great Barnet
Clean Up
As part of the Keep Britain Tidy campaign, Barnet is going a step further and will launch the Keep Barnet Clean campaign. This will be a partnership joint effort to clean and litter pick in the Borough. There are a number of amazing community and town groups that will lead in their areas and space for other groups to join or set up a new group. Contact Danusia at Barnet Council if you want to join and be part of the clean up campaign, as they will be able to provide free litter picking equipment.
Free Online Workshop
Barnet Action Climate Group
Barnet Climate Action Group will be hosting an online workshop on the afternoon of Sunday 16 May to discuss citizen, business and council climate action needed in the London Borough of Barnet to respond to the Climate Emergency. Following an introductory session all together, you can split into two breakout sessions. In the first breakout session, you can chose between attending sessions on Buildings or Waste & Consumption. In the second session you can chose between Transport and Nature. Before joining altogether to the event roundup.

Funding
Urban Tree Challenge Fund
Deadline: 11:59pm, Sunday 25 July
The Urban Tree Challenge Fund has re-opened to applications from community and volunteer groups as well as Town Councils and individuals for tree planting projects in cities and towns across England. This third round of funding is open to applications from small organisations or community groups for between £10,000 and £30,000 for smaller, focused areas of planting; and block bids of over £250,000 with no upper limit to enable multiple projects that are either geographically dispersed or focused in one area to be submitted under one application. The fund provides 50% of standard costs for planting and an annual establishment fee
for the first three years. The remaining 50% must be met through match funding. MORE INFORMATION

The Eco Fund from DPD
Ongoing applications accepted
Applications are being accepted by DPD's Echo Fund to enable the delivery of green projects and environmental initiatives by local organisations. Grants in the form of a donation of up to £2,000 are available.
Each application must be accompanied by a quote(s) for the goods or services for which the donation is going to be used. Applications may be made at any time and will be reviewed on a monthly basis. MORE DETAILS

MCS Charitable Foundation

MCS Charitable Foundation is open to funding a range of projects that advance our mission to accelerate the adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Applications that have matched funding will be looked upon favourably.
Grants will usually be for £5,000 to £50,000. In exceptional cases grants will be considered for higher amounts up to £100,000. MORE DETAILS
