An exciting opportunity exists for a person with exceptional organisational skills and experience in child, youth and family ministry to provide additional support and breadth to our current Grow Ministries staff team as Grow Leadership Coordinator.

Location: North Adelaide or Box Hill (Melbourne)

The Grow Leadership Coordinator will provide coordination for the new Grow Leadership project including the Cultivate Leadership Program and the National Youth Forum.

The overarching concept of Grow Leadership is to provide an accessible pathway for young people, both within the LCA and overseas Lutheran Churches through LCA International Mission, to collaborate with, equip, empower and encourage into leadership within their Church.

The position would be 7.6 hours per week (0.2 FTE) however a mutually agreed, flexible approach to working hours is required.  Due to the nature of the position actual hours of worked will vary periodically.  During peak periods of activity (including, but not limited to, periods of intensive training delivery) there may be a need to work up to five days in a single week.  At other times only a few hours a week will be required to meet the demands of the role.

Key attributes and skills include:

• Strong organisational skills
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• High level computer skills.
• Experience and understanding of youth and family ministry is highly desirable, but not essential.

Layworker, Level 2. Fixed term, two year contract with the possibility of ongoing, subject to review and funding approval by the LCA.
