It is a significant sighting, as a breeding pair has not been spotted on the Northern Beaches for many years. It demonstrates how even small isolated pockets of vegetation provide habitat for animals and birds; and can be critical to their protection and survival. Photo: Jayden Walsh ARE YOU TICKED OFF?We are inviting residents to share their experience with animals and ticks around their home.The survey is part of a research project by the University of Sydney and funded by Council. The goal is to find out whether wildlife, certain backyard features or types of activity might increase the likelihood of people encountering ticks.
