It was the Christmas season, and Dad and Holly were setting up the nativity scene under the Christmas tree. Dad thoughtfully held a couple of the figurines in his hands and said to his little girl, “You know, every person involved in the Christmas story was filled with hope.” “What do you mean,” asked Holly, looking at the figurines in her father’s hands. “Well, take the shepherds for instance. They had hope that the promised Savior would be coming soon. They liked to talk about it together and pray for Him to come. And then when the angel told them that He had in fact been born, right there in Bethlehem, they had hope for their future and the future of their people.”

The Hope of the ages! The year 2020, with its uncertainty, grief, and pain, concludes by bringing us to the manger of Bethlehem. Pioneer's Christmas Eve online premiere service, through music and the Word, shares the familiar story. Whatever you have experienced this year, may God's gift of Jesus, of the Hope of the ages, bring you comfort and joy. (Please note there will be no Christmas Eve program in the church this year.)
Year-end Contribution Statements
It is almost time for you to receive your Year-end Contribution Statement. Pioneer knows that you have had an unusual year and wants to make it easy for you to receive your Year-end Contribution Statement. This time around, you will receive your Contribution Statement easily and conveniently via email. Lord's Supper Celebration
January 2 (both services) is the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. Those who wish to celebrate through livestream at home may pick up their Communion Kits during business hours either on Tuesday, December 29, or Wednesday, December 30. Pioneer will be closed Monday, December 28, and Thursday as well as Friday, December 31 and January 1.
