Click here 10 August 2021 Vaccination Requirement for all SuppliersFrequently Asked Questions and AnswersFurther to our communication ‘Testing and Vaccine Evidence Required’ on 14 July 2021, please see below some Frequently Asked Questions and Answers to assist you in complying with our requirements to keep you and the people we care for as safe as possible. 1: Is the requirement for all staff who are accessing Calvary’s sites to be vaccinated mandatory?A: Yes. It is a requirement that all supplier staff who are accessing Calvary sites are vaccinated against COVID-19. It is also a requirement that those same staff receive their first vaccination shot by 17th September 2021. 2: Is this required in all states?A: Yes, the requirement for COVID-19 vaccination covers all of Calvary’s sites in each state and territory in which we operate. 3: Who is exempted from our requirement for COVID-19 vaccinations?A: Calvary thanks you for considering the safety of your staff, the community and our residents and patients. Only those who are not entering Calvary premises are exempted from our mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement. Where a member of your staff has a medical or other exemptions or medical contraindications to receiving a COVID-19 vaccination you may submit that exemption for our consideration. However, until you are formally advised otherwise your staff member will not be able to access our site(s). 4: If I use subcontractors to provide services to Calvary are those subcontractors also required to meet your COVID-19 vaccination requirements?Yes. Where you utilise subcontractors to provide services on our site, your subcontractors must meet our COVID-19 vaccination requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your subcontractors meet our requirements. 5: What is the implication if I or my staff members do not want to get vaccinated against COVID-19?A: Calvary respects the choice to not to be vaccinated. However, Calvary is asking that only vaccinated suppliers visit our premise to maintain our duty of care towards the patients, residents and clients we care for.. 6: Do I need to let Calvary know if me or a member of my team is not intending to be vaccinated?Yes. Please let us know at nationalprocurement@calvarycare.org.au if you or a member of your staff are not intending to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and we will reach out to you to discuss implications and risk mitigation strategies. 7: We only supply goods which are delivered by a courier/transport service company. Does this mean we are exempt from this requirement? What are the implications for the courier/transport services we use?A: As a supplier of goods to Calvary you are required to ensure that any subcontractor that you engage to provide services e.g. delivery of goods also meets our COVID-19 vaccination requirements. You are responsible for ensuring that your subcontractors meet our requirements. 8: If we are only coming onto your site to provide services in the grounds surrounding your facilities e.g. lawn mowing, facilities maintenance etc. are we still required to get vaccinated against COVID-19?A: By entering our premises there is a risk of contact between your staff and either our residents and staff. For the safety of our staff and our residents and patients you are required to meet our COVID-19 vaccination requirements. 9: We use courier companies to deliver goods to you. The courier company is only delivering to your warehouse or loading dock. Is the staff of the courier company required to be vaccinated against COVID-19?A: By entering our premises, whether that be a warehouse or loading dock, there is a risk of contact between your staff and our staff. For the safety of our staff and our residents and patients you are required to ensure that your subcontractors e.g. couriers and transport providers meet our COVID-19 vaccination requirements. 10: What if my staff are unable to get their first COVID-19 vaccination shot by the 17th September 2021?A: We understand that there is a constrained supply of COVID-19 vaccines at the moment. We also acknowledge that the release of the vaccine is administered by the Federal Government. Where your staff is unable to receive their first COVID-19 vaccination shop by the 17th September please provide us with the following information in Calvary Supplier Central:
Once your staff member has received their COVID-19 vaccination the records for that staff member can be updated as per the Calvary Supplier Central Help Files for Suppliers – how to access your Vaccination Statement and How to complete your Registration. Please let us know if it is unlikely for you to make this deadline by emailing us on nationalprocurement@calvarycare.org.au and we will get back to you. 11: What information do I need to provide regarding my COVID-19 vaccination?A: You will be required to record the details for each of your staff who are accessing our sites, in Calvary Supplier Central. Instructions on how to enter these details and the required supporting documentation can be found at Calvary Supplier Central Help Files for Suppliers – how to access your Vaccination Statement and How to complete your Registration. 12: My employees/subcontractors are not eligible for vaccination according to the current phases of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout. What does this mean for me? Can I have a letter stating that this is a requirement from us a supplier to Calvary?A: Calvary will shortly provide to you a letter confirming our requirements of you and your staff. For the avoidance of any doubt, this letter will not supersede any directions provided by Federal or State Government departments with regards to eligibility and timing to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. 13: Calvary Supplier Central is sending automated emails requesting a “COVID-19 vaccination Business Acknowledgement”. What is this and what are we required to do ? A copy is provided below.A: When you register with Calvary Supplier Central the portal automatically releases to you notifications of various documentation, certificates, and other credentials which you are required to provide to us. The automated message “COVID-19 vaccination Business Acknowledgement” is letting you know that you may be required to provide confirmation of COVID-19 vaccination certificates for your staff. This requirement is determined based on your services / goods classification. You are required to acknowledge that you have been made aware of our requirement that all supplier staff who are accessing Calvary sites are vaccinated against COVID-19.
