This month, we’re raising money for the Weavers Way Environment Committee’s grants program, which provides funding for community projects. Since 1995, the committee has given out more than $120,000 to over 100 community groups and schools. Give $2 (or more!) at the register at any Weavers Way store.

Germantown artist Mindy Flexer's solo show, "Philadelphia Paintings," opens tomorrow and runs through April 1. In keeping with Eat Café's nonprofit, pay-what-you-can model, Mindy is pricing her paintings on a sliding scale.

Earth Bread + High School Artists"Robert Blunk for Art Start," a benefit for arts education. Reception Saturday, March 17, 2-5 p.m., Earth Bread + Brewery, 7136 Germantown Ave., Mt. Airy. Show runs through April 27.
Meet the artist and support Temple University's Tyler School of Art's full-scholarship program for Philadelphia public high school artists. The reception is free and open to the public.
- Robert Blunk, a respected Midwestern artist who frequently shows in Philadelphia, has generously offered to donate the proceeds from the sale of his work at this event to the Art Start program. Blunk, now in his 90s, has enjoyed a long career teaching and mentoring artists in high school and college.
- Art Start is a unique summer program for talented Philadelphia public high school students. Many Philadelphia schools no longer have art programs; Tyler has offered this opportunity to the students who need it most for over 25 years. To make a tax-deductible donation, click here.
Dining for Women in Ambler: You're InvitedMonday, March 19, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The Ambler chapter of Dining for Women had its first official meeting in January and welcomes new members and interested guests to its March meeting. There are now four local Dining for Women chapters started through Weavers Way. Ambler chapter meetings are held in members' homes in the Ambler/Blue Bell area.
